Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z, a quirky new phone with a folding form factor. The first version of this smartphone series was a proof-of-concept more than anything, but it did further Samsung’s knowledge when it came time to reveal the newest variant on display the Galaxy Z Fold 2. This particular edition of the Samsung handset series introduces a refined version of the previous design as well as additional functionality never seen before in any other device.

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is the latest smartphone developed by Samsung, a company that has been in the smartphone business for a very long time now, even though they’re currently a rather small player in this market.Samsung is known for being a bit odd when it comes to naming their smartphones, and the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is certainly no exception. In fact, this is only the second time the company has used the word “folding” in the name of a smartphone, with the first one being the original Galaxy Fold, which was released just last year. Samsung is not the first company to make foldable smartphones, but the Z Fold 2 is the first to come with the innovative design that makes it possible.
